The emphasis of our menu is fish and shellfish, however we always offer a meat alternative. We do ask though that if you require a vegetarian/vegan meal that you inform us when booking - 24 hours notice please. Other dietary requirements/allergies should also be mentioned. Much of our menu is caught ourselves - often arriving in the kitchen moments after being caught.  Lobster is usually always available to order - subject to weather - we don’t like landing them if not required.

Mission statement

At the Shed we have always sourced our fish carefully – relying mostly on our own and local inshore catches - all caught using the least invasive methods. However this year we are going further and aiming to use fish from recognised sustainable fish stocks steering away from ‘at risk’ species. This may mean that we use ‘farmed fish’ but we will always use the best natural products that are available and we will always state where it comes from, how it is caught and fed etc. We hope to maintain the use of British Waters fish only. We are also going to use lesser well known species – for example Ling, Coley, Bull Huss and Pollock which are all available locally and not from threatened stocks aiming to widen our customer’s interest in sustainable catches.
We endeavour to obtain much of our fresh produce as locally as possible fish from Welsh Seafoods and Swansea Fish, veg from Spring Meadow, Penpant Farm, and Redbridge, meat from Gwuan Valley Meats; milk, eggs and cream from Little Hook Dairies, cheese from Caws Cymru, beers and wines from Celtic Wines a local distributor, jams, chutneys and marmalades from Miranda’s Preserves.   Many of our suppliers are winners in True Tastes Awards – amongst other awards - achieving accolades for locally produced supplies.

Our Deli Counter this year will aim mostly at local and Welsh cheeses – many of them – national award winning cheeses available by weight or as individual cheeses.  To complement the range we also stock a range of chutneys, pickles and dressings.
